Passing certificate for two years to be awarded to successful trainees, started from date of passing tests.
Course Aim
Provides the main requirements and training criteria for conducting Rope Rigging skills, Fall Arrest Techniques to be able to rescue a casualty out of any fall Arrest position.

The candidate will be aware of:
  • Rope Rigging Standard
  • Understanding on-site risk assessments.
  • Implementing a lifting plan.
  • Appropriate equipment care and pre-use climbing inspection methods.
  • Identification and use of climbing equipment used for rope rigging.
  • Limitations of climbing equipment used for rigging.
  • Slinging and rigging principles.
  • Understanding the use of a backup system.
  • Understanding the effects of mechanical advantage systems.
  • Managing minimum free board.
  • Managing sharp edges.
  • - Assemble various lifting systems.
  • Sling various objects for lifting.
  • Rope coiling/bagging.
  • Selecting safe anchoring points.
  • Making and using various knots.
  • Mechanical advantage systems
  • 6.1 Max 40kg using a 1:1 system.
  • 6.2 Max 100kg using a 3:1 system including a backup rope.
  • Managing minimum free board.
  • Lowering a variety of loads.
  • Lifting a variety of loads.
  • Managing guide ropes.
